World Squash Day to boost Olympic Bid on Sat 20th October 2012

SQUASH AND THE OLYMPICS:
WORLD SQUASH DAY 2012 TO BOOST OLYMPIC BID

World Squash Day 2012 is set for Saturday October 20th.

The theme this year is to support the World Squash Federation bid to get squash included in the 2020 Olympic Games.

We need to stage eye-catching events around the world on this one special day to raise the profile of the sport ahead of the IOC vote in early 2013.

The squash world united ahead of the last Olympic bid and we need to go the extra mile this time, with support from clubs, national federations and the best brains in the game.

As the planning process begins, please get your thinking caps on and let's share ideas to stage some great events.

And we'll have a brand spanking new website for 2012 too !!!

  1. I have just arrived back from Canary Warf after seeing the most amazing squash. Can you believe this sport is not yet in the Olympics? People need to see the true craft of this sport. we need to showcase it in the most obvious way.I suggest that we put a moveable squash courts in busy shopping centres at the weekend when crowds gather to shop. People will stop they will be blown away by this sport. Lets do it for world squash day!
